Gardenia 2023 took place on November 23-25. Nearly 200 exhibitors from Poland and abroad took part in them. The exhibition covered an area of approximately 10,000 square meters. The fair was visited by over 12,000 people, including approximately 30 participants of the Hosted Buyers program. This year's edition of the Gardenia Fair was held under the slogan "A Garden for Everyone". This slogan reflected the growing need to design greenery in every space, regardless of its size and purpose. The new products presented by the exhibitors included garden kitchens, modern irrigation and lighting systems. We could also admire interesting solutions of small architecture.
Despite the unfavorable season, the greenery presented in the nursery part of the exhibition was extremely impressive. Visitors could admire specimens of both large forms - avenue trees, impressive rhododendrons and pines, through bonsai-style garden trees, to seedlings of ornamental and fruit plants. The great interest of both Polish and foreign guests proves the high quality of Polish plant production.
Each sector of horticulture and related fields has marked its participation in the Gardenia 2023 event program:
- as part of the Landscape Arena, fair guests could see lectures by top British greenery designers, including: Emma Tipping, Zoe Claymore, Gavin McWilliam, Helen Elks Smith and Charlotte Rowe - lectures concerned the latest trends in greenery design, as well as practical aspects of its care;
- traditionally, there were also Polish experts: Joanna Rayss and Dawid Słowiński presented the latest solutions in the field of tree protection and care, while "Szkółka Byczkowscy" and "Zielony Fryzjer" conducted workshops on cutting garden plants;
- an additional attraction for visitors were Saturday's meetings with Katarzyna Bellingham, Marta Szyc and Alicja Maj;
- as part of the 17th Edition of the Urban Garden Art Conference, listened to speeches by specialists in the field of urban greenery.
The decoration and cut flowers sector presented Christmas, wedding and color trends for the next season. Despite the November weather, the stands were full of colors and lushly blooming plants.
The Gardenia 2023 fair is a meeting that confirmed that gardening is an increasingly popular hobby in Poland. The event met the expectations of both exhibitors and visitors.
