Choose economical LED bulbs
We hear a lot about LED bulbs, especially when visiting electronic stores, when we choose to illuminate our home or office spaces. Economical LED bulbs are especially recommended in the industry. Substantial 24-hour good and cheap lighting is needed in production and warehouse halls. Producers of small electronics even outdo each other in their production. On the other hand, traders say a lot of arguments encouraging to buy a specific brand.
LED technology has been leading the market for a long time and there are rather optimistic legends around it. It is also used in car lights, large screens, televisions and flashlights. Almost every owner of a production enterprise who has been running his business for a long time decides to replace ordinary lamps with LED lamps over time. Someone who starts such a business, by definition, even chooses economical LED bulbs.
Economical LED bulbs - other reasons for popularity
There are many superlatives and positive legends around LED bulbs. First of all, LED lamps are extremely efficient and consume relatively little energy compared to other types of lighting. In addition, 80% of the electricity that goes to the LEDs turns into light. Only 20% turns into heat. The lighting is extremely durable. In addition, they are characterized by incredible resistance to damage, given the lack of glass in the structure of the LED bulb. Instead of glass, bulb manufacturers mostly use plastic and aluminum.
LED technology has a longer service life compared to other types of lighting technology. Even 50 thousand hours of product duration – this is how much the type of bulb can withstand. An additional advantage of economical LED bulbs is the fact that both switching on and off takes literally a few microseconds. We have in mind, of course, the aspect of rapid flash and extinction.
Another advantage of the discussed type of lighting is the fact that they can be fully utilized. Their structure does not contain any elements harmful to the environment, e.g. mercury. LED diodes are therefore easily recyclable.
Choice of LED bulbs
We will now introduce the basic criteria to be followed when choosing economical LED bulbs. The overriding factor deciding which bulb we choose is its use and installation location. It is known that we expect different lighting in the living room or warehouse, and different during office work. Therefore, before we buy LED bulbs, we must consider the features of our product. The color and power of light are undoubtedly important here.
You should also pay attention to the size and type of thread located in the bulb. The selection of the appropriate parameters mentioned above will help to create optimal working conditions and a good atmosphere. So let’s discuss these parameters.
LED bulb power
The power of an LED bulb is nothing but the power of the luminous flux that falls on the illuminated surface. The unit by which it is measured is the lumen (lm). It is obvious that this power of the light beam should be adjusted to the conditions in which we are. After all, we do not need strong light in the hall or living room. Therefore, bulbs from 100 to a maximum of 300lm are enough for us. However, the situation is different in the places where we work.
Offices, production halls, kitchen countertops, tailor’s workshops, or even a bathroom mirror – these places require decent light bulbs, even 400-700 lm. It is important to have an understanding of the Lumen to Watt ratio, considering that in this unit we indicate the power of ordinary fluorescent lighting. Therefore, to get the value given in lumens, the number in Watt is multiplied by 10.
The situation is different in the case of lighting above 5 W, where the value of the given power decreases. Then, for example, a fluorescent lamp with a power of 75 W will have parameters similar to a LED bulb with a power of 950 to 1050 lm.
Color temperature of light
Color temperature of light – it is determined according to the Kelvin (K) thermometric scale. It is based on the light color of phenomena that occur naturally. For example: in everyday life, 2,000 K is the warm color of a candle, while 30,000 K is an exaggerated color of lightning. When choosing a light bulb, remember that the warm color generates less light, but creates conditions for rest. The cold color will work well in the workplace.
Ze względu na omawiany czynnik typy żarówek LED dzielimy na :
- below 3500 K – yellowish warm light;
- between 3500 and 5000 – neutral and universal light;
- above 5300 K – cold, white light.
Features of LED bulbs - stay modern
LED bulbs are now being gradually improved, and there is also an increasing choice for consumers on the market. We can choose both single-color and multi-color lighting. The stores offer single-color and multi-color lighting, the so-called RGB. Multicolored LED bulbs are extremely functional because their color can be changed depending on the circumstances. Dimmable bulbs are also available on the LED bulb market, so we can adjust the light intensity.
When choosing bulbs, choose the power and color temperature to the conditions in which they will be used and carefully consider the amount of funds that can be allocated to them. This is important because there are many manufacturers that distribute light bulbs at prices that are varied, adequate or less for our portfolio. In addition, the IT industry has already developed special software to help determine the best light intensity, e.g. in a production hall.
